◊ Test I: The Research
|
Δ
|
In 1988, scientific research was done on the Schrijver systeem®. The research consisted
of two tests, and the results of the first test below shows excellent results. In this test the water saturation
of two test walls was registered for a period of 12 weeks. Both walls had been placed into containers for 3 weeks
to absorb water until the point of saturation was reached and the level of water absorption had dropped to a
minimum.
Table 1 shows a clear difference between wall A (with the Schrijver systeem®) and the wall without the system in
terms of relative humidity (RH).

◊ Test II: Test Results
|
Δ
|
Every day throughout the test period, each element removed 339 ml of water in the wall
fitted with the Schrijver systeem® (wall A). Only 140 ml of water was removed from wall B without the system (see
table 2). (1000 ml is approx. 1/5 gallon). A difference of almost 200 ml per element per day!
The impact the Schrijver systeem® has on the relative humidity (RH) was also recorded (figure 2). Here the test
results were remarkable too. The RH in the enclosed space behind wall A where the Schrijver systeem® was located
was lower by 30% than the RH in the space behind the wall without the system. An outstanding result.

There is a clear difference between wall A and wall B. After 11 weeks and using only two elements, the
difference was more than 30 liters (6.6 gallons)! As the Schrijver systeem® works all year round, it will continue
to remove damp after the 11 week period, as it is an ongoing process.

◊ Summary
|
Δ
|
The Schrijver systeem® is an essential factor in eliminating, preventing and controlling problems caused by damp.
The multifunctional results (dry walls and a decrease in the relative humidity within the house) brought about
this system, means that you can achieve a dry and healthy living environment and a substantial cut in heating
bills. Thanks to this system the building will be better preserved. The system requires little maintenance once
it's been installed. In short: a unique, environment friendly system, which you should not be without in a
countries such as the United Kingdom!
